Today Dr. Holben showed us the Ohio Board of Dietetics website. It was really cool and I learned a lot about law/rules/regulations that I never knew about. This information would be good to get during Fall quarter of my senior year so I have a better idea of what to expect. I haven't taken his senior seminar class (I will be next Fall) so I'll have to remember to ask about it.
The Ohio Board of Dietetics covers business expenses by license fees. Their mission is to protect the public. They set standards of responsibility to maintain professionalism in the practice of dietetics, and investigate complaints. I also learned that the executive director is required to be a Registered Dietitian.
